i found my new favorite paper prods gal, beau ideal, at the brooklyn flea this weekend. (which i got to scout with my interweb-turned-irl friend megan! luckily this discovery happened before our great margarita tour or i may not have recalled it.) this notebook is my new daydream/to-do list recorder and i'll be coming back for these as soon as i need a card (which is pretty much all the time and i should've just bought them on saturday. live and learn):
i pretty much wish bona drag was my closet/jewelry box but this little pinky ring caught my attention even more than the usual killer stuff they sell. all for the mountain gets all my love. as do these perfect red nails. someone's gettin' a mani this weekend!
oy, unintended blogging break. i've got a handful of reasons why i haven't been around these parts of the tripledub lately (or any parts, really...i'm so behind on reading your fabulous blogs! i miss the internet!), but the biggest one has to do with this little lady right here. rashida jones. my girl crush of the century. i promise to tell you more later but in the meantime...you guys watch parks and recreation, riiiiight?!? it's pure genius, if you didn't know. i highly suggest locking yourself up for a day or two with a takeout menu and a couple bottles of wine so you can just knock both seasons out, one episode after another. you won't be sorry. the laugh factor is easily equal to a pilates class or two if that makes you feel better. i can't get enough of those crazy pawnee cats. so, so good.
i feel extremely fortunate to have met my bff at the tender age of 12. we've been through everything together from slumber parties and sneak-outs to heartbreaks and happiness, from one coast to the other and all 3,000 miles in between. today is her birthday. and no, we don't look anything like birkin + bardot, but dang we got the same kinda love. happy birthday heather!! what would i do without you? xo.
luckily i didn't have a WHOLE lot of cash in my wallet when i went to the aforementioned sales on saturday cause there were quuuiiiite a few things i would have been tempted to drop it on (not least of which was a pair of shabd leggings that i'm pretty sure were made just for ME), but i did manage to come away with an adorable tank from sunshine + shadow. i'm think it was probably a sample that maybe never got made cause i don't see it on the site, but i did find all of these amazing looks which reminded me how much i want a few pairs of colorful trouser socks. like, really want. a lot. also a fan of the strangely pinned hair on these gals. why CUT bangs when you can FAKE them?? now, if i could only fake mile-long legs and an effortless come-hither look.
hey new yorkers. looking for something to do tomorrow? first, head to the mike perry/anna wolf/caroline hwang/josh cochran/cool people etc. studio garage sale to get some art for your walls, and then head to the lena corwin/mociun/shabd/wiksten/all kinds of awesome sale to get some art for your body. see you there? i'll be the one trying to wrestle my credit card out of the locked steel box i'm going to stash it in tonight before throwing away the key. good times!
i think i fell in love with alison pill the first time i laid eyes on her cray-zo amaze-o afro in the movie milk. and it's been awhile since then so i'm glad to see she's in this upcoming scott pilgrim movie everyone's talking about (along with another of my many, many girl crushes, aubrey plaza!). i'm totally hearting these photos that anna wolf shot of her for the lab magazine. since i saw them i've added a couple things to my wish list: a sleeping bag-esque coat with larger-than-life sleeves, slouchy hi-waisted mustard trousers, and teeny-tiny breasts. that's reasonable, no?
i'm sure you guys read advanced style, right? the amazing blog that documents the super stylings of new york's silver-haired set? which means you know debra. one of the lovely women that often graces its pages, sharing her creativity and endless inspiration (or maybe you saw her in new york mag? rocking the most epic collar evs?). and if you're familiar with debra, then you certainly understand how extremely STOKED i was to attend a little dinner party she hosted on monday night. 
well, lemme tell you what. not only is debra a good-looking dresser, she's also a fabulous cook: i went back for seconds of her all vegetarian, all natural, all delicious spread. if you don't already know her, check out the vid below. it's simply a taste of her cool.*
fashion is so weird. why are you making me think about fall when it's 90 degrees out?! but you are and i am, so here are a few of my faves from tucker's a/w collection. i'm typically a solid + pattern girl but these looks have me totally feeling the pattern on pattern and so far it feels good. real good. of course, i haven't tried it yet, we'll see how it feels then. i'm afraid it's a combo that could go terribly, horribly wrong. also...headwraps! still my favorite trend of the season.

i totally want this pillow designed by the lovely jackie bos. it would go great with her amazing golden girls zine (thanks to megan for the heads up!) which, in a crazy twist of timing, arrived in my hands the day before the world lost rue. too bad gg isn't on netflix instant watch! i could alternate episodes with the dennis hopper memoriam movie marathon i'm planning.

this osborn (old fave) + boxing kitten (new fave) limited edition shoe collab would make my feet soooooo happy! p.s. the pair's called "cheeky," which, you know, makes me love it even more.
