i'm really loving alison lewis' a/w 09 collection (i mean, she used to be one half of mooka kinney so that's a given), but what i almost like even more is this awesome collage on her website.

tea for two.

i may only be able to watch four fuzzy channels on my craptacular tv with its broken bunny ears, but i'm lucky enough to have a friend with cable AND tivo AND a beautiful, enormous flat-screen that actually makes television enjoyable. a few of us ladies gathered at her house last night for watermelon, chips and salsa, and a grey gardens viewing. being a fan of the original doc, i had my doubts, but i actually kind of loved it. and the clothes, the CLOTHES! i think the edies would be proud.

man, this weekend was awesome: brooklyn flea, endless ice cream, a road trip to mystic, mojitos on the patio of habana outpost. now that the day is gloomy and chilly again, i can't help but reminisce about the 90-degree weather. though, of course, at the time i was complaining about sweaty pits, having nothing to wear, and my sunburned shoulders. i take it all back!!

i was always a fan of smallthings designs, but teresa's newer line, stone + honey just kiiiillls me. i have a version of the piece above and it barely leaves my neck, i just can't take it off! if i had one of these beauties below though, i might be able to give it a rest.

when it comes to sweets, y'all know i don't mess around. so who would guess that upon moving to new york, i'd fall completely under the spell of the lil' vegan bakery that could: babycakes. i go out of my way to swing by broome street for a lemon cupcake top or a hunk of banana chocolate chip bread or my i-will-seriously-fight-you-for-the-last-one fave, their chocolate chip cookie sandwich (pictured above, try not to lick the screen). so when i heard erin was coming out with a cookbook, i got way more excited than i should probably admit. i nabbed a preview (see my review in here) and have been salivating over her sweet secrets ever since. you'll definitely want to get a copy of your own when it comes out early next month, even if just for the adorable photo of superfan j.schwartz holding a crumb cake. in the meantime, peep the trailer below (since when do books have trailers? who cares, i love it!) and get ready to frost your ass off.

a house for mouse.

my friend meredith lives in this adorable little l.a. apartment with her dog mouse. i put aside my intense feelings of envy long enough to vote for its awesomeness on apartment therapy! that's right, her charming abode is in the small cool contest finals and they're in the face-off stage so go right now and give it your thumbs up. i mean that light! that artwork! that crazy-cool carpet! and how could you say no to that adorable lil' dog?

and then i ate it. or, inhaled it is probably more accurate. my TLT sammie (marinated tempeh, ribboned lettuce, roasted tomatoes...it also involves mashed avocado but for some reason that got left out of the acronym) didn't look nearly as gorgeous as heidi swanson's delectable specimen above, but there wasn't much time to look at it anyway. if you're not already a devout 101 cookbooker, take a look, you'll die. and then you'll eat yourself to death. soooo worth it.

this adorable gal who i interviewed the other day (read it in the next ish!) alerted me to the magnificence that is iris apfel. a quick google image search made me realize i knew her look without knowing her name. but now i can't get enough of this woman. i mean, just LOOK at that outfit!! i'm speechless. that is one crazy-cool, classy lady. and what about this cuteness below? she and her hubby are a match made in vintage-frames heaven. you're killin' me, iris. killin' me!

i always love it when my friend alison is the finder behind etsy's weekly make-me-wanna-shop emails cause her taste is impeccable. yesterday's letterpress round up included this ridiculously adorbz recipe box from one canoe two that i'm pretty sure i need though it would just sit in my kitchen completely unused cause i'd never want to sully its cuteness with my rudimentary handwriting.

just because i couldn't pull this look off in a million years doesn't mean i don't totally still want erin fetherston's jumpsuit in my closet, so i can gaze longingly at its awesomeness and daydream about the girl i'll be in another life. too bad it's just a leeeeetle bit out of my price range.

after this rainy, windy, mucky weekend, i want nothing more than to be one of these sun-kissed, sand-swept gals. i'll take some of that epic beach mane too. talk about best-tressed. sheeez.

design*sponge posted an adorable kissing booth poster from roll and tumble press today, so i took a lil' looksee at their store and found these awesome prints, which i think i like even more. especially that telephone one (you know i've got a thang for the rotary!!).

as of today it's been seven (!!!) years since i met stefan. and i still feel like the luckiest girl on the block. and by block i mean earth.

i love these perfect-for-spring crayola rings by timothy liles that i spotted over on besos y fotos. and louise is totally right, they're perfect for white-paper-tablecloth doodling while drinking strong coffee and waiting for a delish sunday brunch! man, i love brunch.

i'm not sure how it's possible that i didn't even know this movie existed until just about a month ago but ho. ly. faye.
new york. 1978. high-fashion photography. psychic visions and a serial killer?? and don't even get me started on faye's threads. actually, you don't have to, refinery29 already covered them (how did i miss that?!): oh to be faye dunaway, sipping chardonnay and popping xanax in the late 70s, chatting the new york night away on a rotary phone.
