love these photos by federico erra.via ffffound
recently i had the opportunity to interview kim gordon (yeah. !!! if i had a "bucket list" i would definitely be "crossing something off") about her new clothing line for urban. she told me that francoise hardy was kinda her muse for that easy-cool, feminine-tomboy look and man, is she right. somehow i'd forgotten how much i love that little frenchie (mon dieu! how COULD i??), not only on the record player but on the style tip as well.
i mean, come on!
she makes it look so eeeeasy! who, moi?
love this store, hate that i'm avoiding their sample sale at all costs to ensure i have money for next month's groceries. but that doesn't mean that you should! owner shana tabor's line will be on sale along with her jewelry (this BFF necklace is one of my faves!!), and other rad labels that you totally need. new yorkers, go, now. if you end up spending a month's lunch money on a super rad coat, call me, we can work something out. i'll trade you my awesome pb&j's for alternate weekend wear. win-win!
stacey mark, that is. she's the one that took these lovely photos. can you tell i have am tam on the brain? i first saw this gorgeous image here, and didn't even recognize her.
so brigitte bardot-y. love love love.
speaking of samantha, i am so very honored to be part of her latest project (and certainly not her last. let me tell you, this girl gets shit DONE!), a totally gorgeous book about love filled with amazing art and writing from some seriously inspiring folks. oh, you want names? get all the info here (you won't be disappointed!). then buy a copy for your honey, or yourself, or your bestie, or your mom. they will all enjoy it. thanks sam, for putting me in such great company!
here's a little sneak peek at my contribution. what, you can't read that? oooohhh, hmmm, i guess you should buy a copy! (btdubz, that rad image to the right is by dan funderburgh and it goes perfect with my text. stooooooked.)

thanks, samantha, for introducing me to this gal's ridiculously awesome flickr (um, where did the last two hours go?). these are my faves from her '60s set. rad, right??
